Measured from a mirror selfie
Torso widths and your waist in real centimeters, from the mirror you already use for progress pics. The scan guides you one thing at a time and fixes the rest afterward.
The scale tells you how much. Hence shows you where. It measures your body from a mirror selfie, lays last week's outline over today's photo, and keeps your meals, training, sleep and supplements next to it, so you can see what changed and why.

More than a scan
The scale gives you one number. Hence puts your shape next to what you ate, how you trained, how you slept and what you took, so you can see what changed, where, and what was going on that week.
Torso widths and your waist in real centimeters, from the mirror you already use for progress pics. The scan guides you one thing at a time and fixes the rest afterward.
The earlier outline on today's photo, lined up at the same scale and straightened, with a slider to fade between them. Apricot is then, lilac is now.
Type what you ate, one food per comma. Calories and macros come from a built-in food database. A photo if you want one.
Hence reads them from Apple Health, so your watch and scale keep logging for you. Read-only: nothing is written back.
Set a schedule once and get a reminder when it's due. Tap to log it, and see how consistent you've been.
Pick a date, an event or the day you started something, and see everything since then on one chart. On a recomp the scale can sit still while your waist keeps going down. Hence shows both.
One place for the whole day
Everything you log and everything Apple Health brings in lands on one timeline, so a week of change comes with the week that caused it. Switch between cm and in, kg and lb, for anything.
Hold your phone like you would for a progress pic. Hence guides you one thing at a time: distance, arms, a slow breath out.
Your phone's reflection is a ruler of known size, so the outline comes out in real centimeters. No tripod, no suit, no tape.
Last week's outline sits over today's photo. Slide to fade between them and see where you got smaller, next to what you ate, slept and trained.

Questions
Hence is an iPhone app for tracking body change. It measures your waist and torso from a mirror selfie, lays an earlier scan's outline over today's photo so you can see where you changed, and keeps your meals, workouts, sleep, weight and supplements on the same timeline.
A measurement needs something of known size in the photo. Hence uses what's already in a mirror selfie: your phone's own reflection, the spacing of your eyes measured by the front camera, and on iPhones with LiDAR, the distance to the mirror. That turns the outline into real centimeters, with no tape, tripod or special suit.
Scans need an iPhone with a Face ID front camera. iPhones with LiDAR (Pro models) get an extra distance reading. iPhone SE models can't run a scan.
No. Hence measures widths, your waist and how your outline changes over time. It doesn't estimate body fat percentage or give medical advice.
Meals with calories and macros, plus a photo if you want one; sleep, workouts and weight from Apple Health (read-only); supplements with schedules and reminders; and progress since a starting point you choose.
